A view from down below

It's all been about bridges lately. The Mersey Gateway Bridge opened just last week, and in the last couple of months all eyes were on Scotland for the opening of the Queensferry Crossing.

This week, we wanted to leave behind the news coverage and offer a different view. So - rather unusually for a website about roads - we commandeered a boat and brushed up on our knowledge of railway infrastructure to bring you a new photo gallery of the Forth Bridges, with a tour and some spectacular pictures of the Queensferry Crossing, the Forth Road Bridge and the Forth (Rail) Bridge seen from the Forth itself.

Whether you're a regular, crossing the Forth every day and seeing the view from up above, or you're just curious about the most remarkable showcase of British civil engineering that can be seen in one location, we think it's an alternative view that's well worth a look.
