Scheme Outline
Construction of a bypass for the villages of Wadesmill, High Cross and Colliers End. The bypass will be to dual-two lane standard with grade-separated junctions, extending the A10 dualled route from its current terminus north of Ware to the A120 roundabout at Puckeridge.
Progress
| 14 December 2003 | The expected opening date for the scheme is missed as severe ground settlement causes the road surface to break up. The Highways Agency is unable to give a date when the road will open. |
|---|---|
| 14 October 2004 | Extensive works to rebuild sections of the bypass following subsidence problems have been completed and the road is open to traffic, ten months after the programmed opening date. |
