Scheme Outline

Online widening of the Kettering bypass from two to three lanes each way, between junctions 7 (Glebe Farm) and 9 (Wicksteed Park), in order to reduce congestion.

Further improvements to the A14 between junctions 3 and 10 may be considered in the longer term.

Progress

25 December 2010 This project is currently under development. Construction is not expected to start until after 2015.
30 November 2011 Chancellor George Osborne announced the upgrade to the Kettering bypass, A14 J7-9, will go ahead as part of the National Infrastructure Plan.
