Scheme Outline
A new dual two-lane road on a new alignment connecting the current Four Elms Hill dual carriageway to the Sharnal Street bypass. It is not grade separated, and will have roundabouts at principal junctions. The scheme includes a new single carriageway link road into Hoo, terminating near Broad Street Cottages.
Progress
| 14 June 2005 | Works are nearing completion and parts of the road are already open. Full opening is due very shortly - probably by the end of the month. |

| 14 July 2005 | The road is opened to traffic. Medway Council announces that the next section of the road, High Halstow to Grain, will be upgraded shortly. A decision is expected in December 2005. |
