Scheme Outline

Upgrade of all the remaining single-carriageway sections of A303 between the associated works at Stonehenge and the Horton Roundabout at Ilminster. The new dual carriageway sections will be grade-separated and built to dual two-lane standard. From Ilminster, the A358 will be upgraded to reach the M5.

This scheme is now back under review following the cancellation of the A303 Stonehenge Tunnel.

Progress

15 March 2012 Representatives from Somerset County Council are meeting with local MPs at Westminster today to discuss dualling more of the A303.
