Scheme Outline

Construction of a new roundabout at Airman's Corner. Here the new roundabout will be slightly to the south of the existing junction with the A344. This will form the entrance way to the new Stonehenge Visitor Centre. At Longbarrow Crossroads, the existing A360/A303 roundabout will be remodelled within the existing land take. The section of A344 linking to the A303 will be closed as part of this scheme.

Progress

11 October 2010	According to the official Stonehenge Visitors Centre website, the Draft Orders for constructing the new A360 roundabout and closing the A344 were published on 23rd September 2010, with a consultation period of 28 days.
12 April 2011	An extra funding package now means the junction improvements can start in 2012.
9 October 2011	The Public Inquiry came to an end on 4th October 2011.
