Scheme Outline
Construction of a new single carriageway road, in a 2+1 formation (three lanes, with a centre overtaking lane alternating between the two directions of travel). The road will bypass the village of Robeston Wathen.
Progress
| 16 August 2010 | The work, which began in February 2009, is now expected to be finished in early 2011. |

| 26 January 2011 | The Robeston Wathen bypass opened to traffic on 01 October 2010, with two of the three lanes in operation. The whole site continues to be subject to 40 mph traffic orders and temporary closures during completion of the final stages of work (landscaping; narrowing of the original carriageway). All work is expected to be complete within the next 1-2 weeks. |
| 2 February 2011 | According to the Costain website, the new road will open on 01 March 2011. |
| 16 March 2011 | The scheme was officially opened today. |
