Scheme Outline
The aims of the scheme are to improve connections between Corby and the strategic road network (and thus help with the regeneration and re-development of the area), and to reduce the amount of traffic using the existing A43 between Kettering and Corby.
The new road will run from the A6003 north-west of Kettering (near Barford Bridge) to the existing A43/A6116 roundabout at Stanion, which will be enlarged. The road will be dual carriageway, with no intermediate junctions. Upon completion, the link road will become the new alignment for the A43, with the existing road being downgraded.
