Scheme Outline

Replacement of the existing signalised roundabout with a new grade-separated two level junction, providing a free flowing route between the Coventry Southern and Eastern bypasses, A45 and A46. The A45 will also be widened to three lanes to the west as far as Stivichall Junction.

Progress

18 June 2009 Draft Orders and an Environmental Statement for the scheme were published on 26 March 2009, with public exhibitions held in April.
30 October 2010 Following the autumn spending review, the DfT has decided to continue preparatory work on this scheme, with a view to starting construction after 2015.
1 December 2011 This scheme forms part of the National Infrastructure Plan announced earlier this week.
