Scheme Outline
A new grade separated junction to be provided at Melton to replace the existing signalised crossroads. The junction has a poor safety record as it comes shortly after the end of the M62, and is now the last remaining signalised junction between Liverpool and Hull.
Progress
| 14 March 2006 | Bridge deck has been lifted into place, and the sliproads and embankments are almost finished. |
|---|---|
| 14 October 2006 | The junction is complete and opened, though for some time the traffic lights remained up and switched permanently to green. |
