Scheme Outline
Construction of a bypass for the villages of Wadesmill, High Cross and Colliers End. The bypass will be to dual-two lane standard with grade-separated junctions, extending the A10 dualled route from its current terminus north of Ware to the A120 roundabout at Puckeridge.

Progress
- December 2003
- The expected opening date for the scheme is missed as severe ground settlement causes the road surface to break up. The Highways Agency is unable to give a date when the road will open.
- October 2004
- Extensive works to rebuild sections of the bypass following subsidence problems have been completed and the road is open to traffic, ten months after the programmed opening date.
