Scheme Outline

Construction of a new route to carry the A1198 past Papworth Everard. The route will be single two-lane standard. A bypass has been planned on this line since at least 1954.

May 2006
Substantial construction work has now started on-site.
August 2006
Traffic is now using the new roundabout at the north end of the village, though it's not yet complete!
April 2007
The new road is completed and open to traffic. New traffic calming measures are now being installed in the town.
