Scheme Outline

Construction of a new dual-two lane bypass to carry the A41 around Aston Clinton. Works also include a grade-separated junction at the former terminus of the Tring Bypass and at a local road.

Timeline

1974
Tring Bypass opens as A41(M), intended to become part of the M41 London to Birmingham route.
1997
The new government identifies the bypass in its Targeted Programme of Improvements (TPI) listing.
2001
Works start on the bypass in August.
