Scheme Outline
Upgrade of the A455 Newport (in Wales) Southern Distributer Road to dual-two lane standard, mostly on-line but with off-line diversions including a new bridge over the River Usk. The upgraded route will loop between M4 junctions 24 and 28. The road will be at-grade, with a large number of roundabouts along the way.
The upgraded road will assume the A48 number, and the A455 designation will be removed altogether.
