Scheme Outline
An upgrade of the A5 between the existing dual carriageway at Tamworth and the A38/M6 Toll junction. The upgrade is a mostly off-line widening of the A5 to dual two lane standard. It is not clear whether any intermediate junctions will be grade separated. The scheme will also add an underpass at the A5/A38 roundabout.

- New road and associated A5/A38 junction improvements were opened by Roads Minister, Dr Stephen Ladyman.
