Scheme Outline
Provision of new free-flow links between the Stansted Airport approach road and the M11 to the south to ease chronic congestion at the junction. Alteration of junctions to allow the new A120 to flow directly onto the M11.

- Stansted Airport opens, along with the corresponding section of M11.
- 1990
- Complaints made concerning the congestion at junction 8: the existing roundabout interchange is no longer adequate.
- 2001
- Work on new third-level flyovers between M11 to south and Stansted approach road begins.
