Scheme Outline

Widening of the M60 between junctions 5 and 8, to include dual-three lane main carriageways and dual-two lane carriageways alongside. The two-lane carriageways will access junctions, while the three-lane ones will pass through from 5 to 8 without entry or exit points. Junctions 5 and 7 will be remodelled and the A6144(M) will lose motorway status as part of the works.
