Scheme Outline
A scheme to increase capacity on the M25 between junctions 5 and 7 by introducing hard shoulder running. The scheme may involve work to strengthen the hard shoulder so it can be used as a running lane.

| 9 November 2010 | Funding for this scheme was confirmed by the Transport Secretary following the recent autumn spending review. Construction is not expected to start until late 2012 at the earliest. |
