Scheme Outline
The aim of this scheme is to improve traffic flow by increasing the capacity of the junction. This will be achieved by adding lanes to the sliproads, roundabouts, and overbridge, and by building new, dedicated filter lanes north- and southbound between the M5 and the B4008 (A38) to Gloucester. The junction will also be signalised.
Progress
| 10 September 2010 | Work began on 6 September 2010, and is scheduled to continue for 14 weeks. All work will be carried out between the hours of 8pm and 6am, during which time the junction will be closed to all traffic. |
