Scheme Outline
Introduction of dynamic hard shoulder running (use of the hard shoulder as an extra lane during busy periods) on the M60 between junctions 8 and 12 (Eccles Interchange), with the aim of reducing congestion.
In order to keep costs down, and obviate the need for additional land, parts of the scheme will include narrow lanes. The completed section will be subject to a reduced speed limit.
