Scheme Outline

Widening of the anti-clockwise M60 carriageway between j15 (M61) and j12 (M62/M602).

This is a very congested part of the M60 and currently only has three lanes anti-clockwise as opposed to four clockwise lanes. It's not yet clear what will happen when the widened carriageway meets the traffic joining at j13 only a short distance before the double lane-drop for the M60/M62 interchange.

Progress

27 October 2010 Funding for this project was confirmed in a statement by the Transport Secretary yesterday.
