Scheme Outline
Bypassing a slow and winding section with a smooth offline upgrade, increasing safety and opportunities to overtake. The new road will still be single carriageway.
Progress
- 20 November 2008
- Not a great deal can be seen from the present A7, but the foundations are in place.
- 28 May 2009
- This scheme is almost complete now. The new road was being used on 26 May 2009 although there were still traffic control lights at each end where the old road joins the new.
- 21 June 2009
- The new road is now open to traffic.
