Scheme Outline

A new road connecting the A6 near Thulston, just outside Derby, to the A52/A5111 junction north of Alvaston, preventing A6 traffic from having to travel through the suburb of Alvaston. The road is unlikely to carry the A6 designation.

Work is well advanced on the terminal roundabout at the A5111.
December 2003
Road opened to traffic.
