Scheme Outline
A new road connecting the A6 near Thulston, just outside Derby, to the A52/A5111 junction north of Alvaston, preventing A6 traffic from having to travel through the suburb of Alvaston. The road is unlikely to carry the A6 designation.

- Work is well advanced on the terminal roundabout at the A5111.
- December 2003
- Road opened to traffic.
