A brief trip to Cheltenham gave me a chance to have a quick wander around the town and photograph a few unusual sights. There were far more than these, but you can only walk so far. Next time I go back I'll try and get more.
Never seen this sign in the Highway Code! A custom-made job on the A40 London Road approaching the "Six Ways" junction (one is now blocked so the junction isn't too complex). Is this sign legal?
Argh! Guildford Rules gone mad! This is the non-primary A435 approaching the primary A40 junction. We're not on a primary road, so the sign in black on white, but the directions are all on a primary road, so everything within the black border is then green. Can this set-up not be excused from "patching"?
Oops! If we were in the US, then this right turn arrow would probably be correct, but here it's just wrong. How can such an error be made? Do sign designing systems include arrows like this that can never be used? This sign may also use the wrong version of the Transport font, since the typeface looks too thin.
