The A1(M), travelling southbound at Hook Moor where the M1 splits off. This is the widest part of the road - six lanes shortly before the two motorways part.

Junction 2 used to be a trumpet interchange, but the north-facing access was removed some time ago. This is what remains of the northbound entry sliproad.

Further north, the motorway tunnels underneath part of Hatfield. This is the view from the top of the northern tunnel portal, with a steep cutting carrying the motorway through the urban area.
