A19 Testos Roundabout Improvement
- After 2015
- In planning or on hold
- Junction improvement for use by all traffic
- Highways England
- Region: North East
Provision of a new dual two-lane flyover allowing the A19 to avoid the badly congested Testos Roundabout with the A184 near Sunderland.
The A19 will be slightly realigned around the junction to accommodate the new flyover.
The roundabout was originally laid out, when it was built, to allow for a flyover on an east-west line to carry the A184. This will not now be provided.
|30 October 2010||Following the autumn spending review, the DfT has decided to continue preparatory work on this scheme, with a view to starting construction after 2015.|
