A350 Chippenham Bypass Dualling
- Under construction
- Upgrade to existing road for use by all traffic
- £ 3.4m
- Wiltshire Council
- Region: South West
- Wiltshire Council and Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership
Upgrade of the existing single two-lane A350 Chippenham Bypass to dual two-lane standard between Bumpers Farm Roundabout (A420) and Brook Roundabout immediately to the north. This improvement will link in with the recently improved dual carriageway from Chippenham to the M4, but will not provide a continuous dual carriageway connecting to it.
The approaches to both roundabouts will also be improved to the same standard with short sections of dual carriageway.
In time, Wiltshire Council plan to widen and improve the entire bypass from Lackham to the M4 to the same standard.
|5 October 2016||The section either side of the Bumpers Farm is now complete. There are outline plans to complete the remaining sections in 2017, with various options being presented.|
