Replacement of the existing signalised roundabout with a new grade-separated two level junction, providing a free flowing route between the Coventry Southern and Eastern bypasses, A45 and A46. The A45 will also be widened to three lanes to the west as far as Stivichall Junction.
|18 June 2009||Draft Orders and an Environmental Statement for the scheme were published on 26 March 2009, with public exhibitions held in April.|
|30 October 2010||Following the autumn spending review, the DfT has decided to continue preparatory work on this scheme, with a view to starting construction after 2015.|
|1 December 2011||This scheme forms part of the National Infrastructure Plan announced earlier this week.|
|20 October 2014||Construction is progressing well, and the scheme is on track to be completed by the end of 2016.|
|2 December 2016||The underpass is now open to traffic.|
