Due to unforeseen problems with ground stability, the Abergavenny - Gilwern section will now not open until April 2008. However, most of the scheme is complete and in unaffected areas traffic is using the new road.

14 May 2008

The road between Abergavenny and Gilwern is opened to traffic. The next phase of construction is not expected until 2010.
