Improvement works to the A50 at Uttoxeter. The works will take place in two phases, being delivered by Staffordshire County Council on behalf of Highways England.

The first phase involves construction of a new grade-separated junction west of the town that will provide access to new housing developments and improve access to the JCB factory.

The second phase, which will take place after the first is complete, will repurpose the existing Dove Lane overbridge to form the basis of a new grade-separated junction, which will then enable the two roundabouts to be removed. When this is complete the A50 will pass Uttoxeter non-stop and avoid many of the regular hold-ups caused by the roundabouts.
