Construction of a new bypass to Selby in North Yorkshire to two-lane single carriageway standard, including overbridges across minor roads and a new crossing at the Ouse. Roundabout junctions with the A19, A1041 and at each end.

Progress

14 December 2001 Preliminary works, land purchase.
14 April 2002 Land grading and early work on bridges.
14 December 2002 A1041 roundabout built and in operation; overpass across the Brayton to A1041 road is complete.
14 July 2004 Problems with the swing bridge are fixed and the bypass opens to traffic on June 15.
