Construction of a new partially dual-two lane and partially single carriageway road to bypass the towns of Stevenston, Saltcoats and Ardrossan in North Ayrshire.

Progress

14 October 2004 The southern terminal roundabout is now in place but not fully open. The Sharphill Road interchange has recently been started, and signs are now claiming a May 2005 completion.
14 January 2005 Road is completed and opens to traffic.
