Add a new scheme

You are here: Home » Road Schemes » Add a new scheme

This page allows you to add a new scheme to the Road Schemes listing. You will need to submit original text describing the scheme and you will need the address of another website that describes it (preferably that of the government body responsible for the scheme).

Before you begin...

CBRD will only accept major road schemes to be listed on the website. The following will be rejected:

• routine maintenance work
• new local roads serving new buildings
• minor widening or alignment improvements
• short local bypasses
• localised improvements for the benefit of developers

If you want to edit an existing entry, select one from the list.

Fields marked (Mandatory) are mandatory.

The official name of the road scheme, e.g. Wakefield - Hook Moor Improvement.
The public body responsible for the works, e.g. Highways England or Transport Scotland.
The part of the country in which the scheme is located. Within England, these are the Government Office regions. If you're not sure, just make a best guess — everything is checked before it goes online.
The overall cost of the project, e.g. 55m. Leave this blank if you don't know.
Who is paying for the works, e.g. Central Government. Leave this blank if you don't know.
The period of time over which the road will be built, e.g. 2010-2012. Leave this blank if you don't know.
The length of the road works. Enter either kilometres or miles here; the other figure will automatically be calculated and shown on the finished page. Leave this blank if it's a junction improvement.

Scheme outline

Please don't copy-and-paste text from an official source as CBRD does not have clearance to use material from other websites.

Web link

Every new road scheme added to CBRD needs a link to more information about the project. Preferably this will be the scheme's official website, usually hosted by the government body that is promoting it. Select the type of link you are providing and paste its web address here.
