A1 Roadtrip

You are here: Home » Video » A1 Roadtrip

The A1 is the longest single road in the UK - the Great North Road, a traditional coaching route linking London to Edinburgh, now upgraded to form a major transport artery. To drive it end to end is, of course, a work of madness - that's 400 miles of busy road that gets thoroughly buried in two busy cities at each end.

Works of madness are a CBRD speciality, of course, and that's how I came to have seven hours of video footage documenting every moment of a drive from St Paul's Cathedral in London to Waterloo Place in Edinburgh.

There may well be other versions of this in due course, giving a more detailed look at parts of the journey, but for now here are the whole four hundred miles in four minutes.
