Escape from Basingstoke

One of the more complete New Towns, Basingstoke is built around a rectangular Ring Road with an east-west through route passing through the town centre. This video was named 'Escape from Basingstoke' because it shows a fast, if rather circuitous, exit from the town - a course of action that many visitors feel inclined to take. It begins at the Eastrop junction on the A30 and heads anti-clockwise around the Ring Road for a three-quarter circuit, then passes east through the town centre, around the loop sliproad, onto the M3 spur and away on the M3 westbound.
The video runs at double speed. It was shot at a slight angle through a dirty windscreen. Lessons have been learned here.
